Born in 1992 in Nagrahar, Afghanistan, Abdul Saboor had to support himself from a young age and worked with the US military for 6 years until, sought by the Taliban, he was forced to flee the country. With his camera always to hand, he documented his journey into exile, the two years spent crossing Europe until he arrived in France, where in 2017 he decided to settle. His photographs have been exhibited in Serbia, Spain, the UK and Poland, and in France at the Ministry of Culture, the Cité du Mot, the Friche Belle de Mai in Marseille, at the Théâtre Sénart and at the CCAM, Vandœuvres-lès-Nancy.

During his residency at the Cité du Mot, Charité sur Loire, Abdul Saboor will develop his project ‘Messages migrants: images miroir’, which uses photographs and mosaics to illustrate the migrant routes between the Balkans and Paris, evoking the migrants and the graffiti that they leave in the towns through which they pass.
