Bolaji Odofin is a Nigerian playwright, journalist and writer. She has been the recipient of a few fellowships and prizes, including an African Performance playwriting prize (joint 3rd), a Miles Morland Writing Scholarship, and an International Playwriting prize, where her play was selected as the best in its category from over a thousand entries worldwide. She explores diverse themes in her work, including religion, mental illness, identity as defined by self and by others, various divides: the abyss behind things, and the disparities between who we think we are, and what altered circumstances reveal us to be.

Resident at La Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon in 2019, Bolaji will be working on the play Sons of the Morning. The play presupposes a family relationship between the biblical Jesus and Satan, namely that they are brothers, and reinterprets the gospels in the light of their sibling rivalry. The play also explores the dynamic between Jesus and his disciples.
