Oren made a splash at the SXSW film festival with his feature film, THE FRONTIER , a 1970s-set crime noir, released in the US by Kino Lorber.
Shai is an Israeli-born director and writer with a BFA in Film from the School of Visual Arts and a MA in Individualized Studies from NYU. He also directed the hour-long documentary ‘No Shame: How Candid Camera Took Over Israeli Cinema’ for Israeli TV, and a number of critically acclaimed shorts. His writing about film has been published in the US, Italy, France, Spain, and Israel. Shai is repped by The Gersh Agency .
In residence in 2020 at Les Dominicains with Coco Morier, their aim is to experiment with a solo concert format that combines different artistic and particularly visual influences. The convent offers a platform for collaborative work that facilitates this approach and provides expertise in audience engagement through immersive visual spaces.
