On Friday 3 September, the Culture Minister Roselyne Bachelot awarded the CCR label to ARIA for its cultural project ‘Theatre & Nature’.

Roselyne Bachelot attended a ceremony at ARIA, situated at Pioggiola in the Giussani valley in Upper Corsica, to award the label to the organisation.

The Minister praised the work of Robin Renucci, president and founder of the Association des Rencontres Internationales Artistiques (ARIA), as well as that of his team:

It is a new formula, the bringing together of art, culture and nature, in an incredible setting […] It is essential that all territories have cultural places that nourish art, that enable the artistic and cultural education of our young people, that encourage creativity.’

The Minister also announced the granting of an additional million euros of funding for the CCRs:

For 2022, I have decided to grant an additional million euros to the development of the Centres Culturels de Rencontres. It gives me great pleasure to announce this to you now, in advance of the 50th anniversary of the network.
