"Hospitalité & création" meetings on 11 and 12 May 2023 in Paris

Pulak Halder, abbaye de Sylvanès

The ACCR invites you to its "Hospitalité & création, l'ACCR - 20 ans de programmes de résidence pour les artistes étrangers.e.s et réfugié.e.s en France" meetings!

The ACCR, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, invites you to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Odyssée programme at the Bibliothèque La Grange - Fleuret in Paris on 11 and 12 May 2023. This meeting is part of a series of events organised by the Association throughout 2023 to celebrate the ACCR's 50th anniversary, under the theme "Vivify the heritage for tomorrow".

This meeting will provide an opportunity to take stock of what has been achieved over the past 20 years in terms of welcoming foreign artists and refugees to heritage sites, and to look to the future. Discussions will focus in particular on the reciprocal contributions made by the residency programmes coordinated by the ACCR.

[SOLD OUT - Priority to ACCR members and partners].

/ The Odyssée residency programme: almost 800 artists hosted in France in 20 years

Since 2003, the Odyssée programme, coordinated by the ACCR, has welcomed more than 750 artists, researchers and cultural professionals representing 84 different nationalities, in fields as varied as music, architecture, crafts, the visual arts, playwriting, animated film, photography, journalism, etc.

The Odyssée programme is an evolving programme that has adapted to successive international crises, as demonstrated by the addition of two other residency programmes, NORA and NAFAS, designed to welcome artists and cultural professionals in emergency situations. Between 2016 and 2022, the NORA programme welcomed 58 artists from Syria, Ethiopia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Russia to the ACCs. The NAFAS programme, in partnership with the Institut Français and the Institut Français du Liban, is open to Lebanese artists and cultural professionals from 2020 to 2022.

Find here the "residency diaries" of the artists and professionals hosted in the CCRs.
