“Thank you very much for supporting these programs, which make an immediate and personal impact on the lives of artists. ACCR thrives because of your generous support, whose contributions make it possible to foster creativity and innovation within each artist that benefits from their subsequent generosity. The Odyssée Residency Program provides emerging and established artists with a nurturing space to explore, collaborate, and develop their work.
Duo Mandelbrot (Maya Webne-Behrman and Niels Pfeffer) is a violin and lute duo exploring a vast array of styles by way of our baroque instruments. During our Odyssée residency, we were able to create and fully prepare an hour-long musical program combining French baroque and impressionist music, as well as record and film two video impressions of our program at a high level. If you are interested, please feel free to watch our videos here: aux oiseaux and à Florence.
Our residency took place in the beautiful and relaxing Canet-en-Roussillon and it was an idyllic place to stay and work for three weeks. The location and atmosphere inspired us to be our most creative selves; the community was very supportive, allowing us to use local spaces for recordings and intimate performances; and the team at Les Amis de l'Esparrou was also very helpful in organizing our time during those three weeks. We are forever grateful for the chance to meet and work with such generous people while also being supported in our art. This is a very exceptional opportunity.
The residency’s impact resonates far beyond just one project, empowering artists to explore and hone their talents on a global level. By supporting this program, you are helping to contribute to a healthy and growing legacy of cultural enrichment and creative excellence.
Thank you for your support.”
