Within the framework of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, ACCR invites you on November 21st, 2018 to discuss and to think together on new ways of inhabiting heritage, and also, to share the innovations brought to the site thanks to art, creativity and research. Beyond the issue of heritage reuse and preservation, one of the current European heritage stakes is the reflection on the new methods to enliven heritage sites and make them places of openness and sharing.
Heritage and landscape have always been sources of inspiration, spaces of well-being and encouraged thinking and creating. They can become a medium for creativity, a research topic, or even places to promote young talents. How do artists, researchers, professionals and other audiences impregnate themselves with the heritage site? How can heritage sites promote their creative function by offering unique cultural outreach, creative support, artistic promotion and even professional residences? These initiatives inspire new interpretations and new ways to appreciate and understand heritage and landscape differently. How do these different actors and initiatives enliven heritage? How do they get involved in the territory? How are they implemented?
Two round-tables will highlight the thematic day on the European living heritage.
