Announcement from the Association des Centres Culturels de Rencontre

2020

The network of Heritage Sites for Culture has, like most cultural organisations, been significantly affected by the national and international situation relating to the coronavirus pandemic and the measures being taken to contain it.

The Centres have now closed their doors to the public. Many festivals and cultural events have had to be postponed or, in some cases, cancelled.

In most Centres, it is not currently possible to host artists and researchers in residence. Residents have been able to return home. Furthermore, the residency programmes NORA and Odyssée, coordinated by the ACCR with the support of the Ministry of Culture, have mostly been postponed until September.

Through our website and our social media channels we continue to provide news from our members who are doing what they can to stay in touch during the confinement period. In line with the national campaign #CultureChezNous, we encourage all initiatives which allow people staying at home to discover or rediscover our heritage sites, the works which have been produced there, and the artists they have welcomed.

The ACCR offices at the Hôtel de Massa closed on 16th March, and our team is now working remotely.
