Towards Enhancement of Resilience by Rural Activities

TERRA

This project, coordinated by LandKunstLeben in Germany brings together six European partners: Noirlac Abbey (France), Citema (Italy), Fondation Santa Maria La Real (Spain), Public Works (UK), Saline Royale d’Arc-et-Senans (France), and Transylvania Trust (Romania). It has been devised with the support of ACCR within the framework of the European programme Grundtvig for lifelong learning.

TERRA (Towards Enhancement of Resilience by Rural Activities) has created an interactive platform for learners and professionals from seven cultural centres and their communities. The cultural centres work on increasing resilience within the rural and remote areas in which they are located. Resilience is defined as the capacity of individuals and communities in situations of crisis and transition to adapt and reconstruct their social and economic fabric. The partnership seeks to strengthen practices, develop innovative approaches and create a multicultural learning environment. Ultimately, the aim is to promote informal education as a pathway to constructing a model of sustainable and person-centred development.
