Ariel Farace is a writer, playwright, actor and theatre director. He studied Dramaturgy at the EMAD.
Ariel Farace’s creations have been presented in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Spain and Germany. He has also collaborated as a dramaturg in other performing arts projects, such as dance and contemporary music. In the period 2017-2018, he worked as a curator in the TNA – TC (Argentina’s National Theatre). He created the Libros Drama publishing house and coordinates writing workshops in different cities, in Argentina and also abroad. He lives in Buenos Aires.
Within his Artist-in-residency at La Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon in 2019 he will advance on the writing of his new play : Un día, una vida. A voice of unique appearance that talks about transits and experiences through different cities and contexts, in a colloquial way. He’s working under the premise that this voice, which on stage would be enacted by bodies and voices, can express a subjectivity that is no longer individual but contemporary. He envisions that the writing process of this new play could include stylistic devices from both fiction and the essay to intersect present-day and historic itineraries.
