Partners / Royaumont Foundation residency programmes

In 2026, the Royaumont Foundation is revamping its residency programme and creating the Fabrique Royaumont to strengthen its support for professional, emerging and established artists in the fields of music and dance.

In addition, with its commitment to the humanities, the Foundation is opening writing residencies for researchers working on projects that resonate with its Library and Resources Department.

The inspiring setting of the abbey and its residential facilities make the Foundation a unique place where artists can develop or implement innovative artistic projects, prepare for auditions, competitions or musical projects, and where researchers can advance or finalise their writing.

The Royaumont team offers personalised support to the teams in residence: advice on project development, contact with researchers, and networking with cultural partners.

Teams are welcomed in residence during the school holidays – except in summer, when the site is dedicated to the Campus Royaumont – in order to encourage exchanges and interaction between them.

The Foundation offers teams in residence privileged access to the Library and Resources Department: the collections of the Royaumont Libraries (the François Lang Music Library, the Henry and Isabel Goüin Literary Library, and the La Grange-Fleuret Music Library) and the Foundation's archives.

The Royaumont Foundation will give priority to projects that address issues related to diversity, gender equality, ecological transformation and respect for cultural rights.

The CCR offers two distinct programmes tailored to the needs of artists, each with three possible residency options:

Incubator residency [Project development]

- Multidisciplinary residency in Royaumont

- Dual residency Music and Poetry, in Royaumont and Athénor

- Dual residency Arts and Sciences, in Royaumont and Athénor

Project residency [Implementation of a project]

- Residency for the production of a show

- Residency for preparation

- Residency for writing

Calls for projects are open until midnight on 25 May 2025.
