Following the horrific events which have rocked Paris, our thoughts are first and foremost with the victims, the injured, their families and all those in pain and uncertainty. The Cultural Encounter Centres – artistic and humanist places of cultural exchange – wish to express their profound solidarity with all those affected by these barbaric acts.

With an unfailing drive to resist fear and extremism, the Cultural Encounter Centres stand ready to act in their local areas. The Association of Cultural Encounter Centres and the Centres themselves are members of both European and international networks, fostering goodwill and friendship between peoples and a strong belief in dialogue and mutual respect. We believe that culture, heritage and creativity, and all expressions of diversity, are more necessary now than ever in ensuring that humanism and tolerance prevail.
