France Labellisation


To be officially recognised as a “Centre Culturel de Rencontre”, a centre must:

- be established in a monument or on a site of major interest, of architectural, historical, scientific or artistic interest and open to the public;
- be part of a partnership with local authorities and the State, defined by an official agreement;
- have official statutes guaranteeing the autonomy of the organisation, its not-for-profit nature and its opening to the public as well;
- implement a cultural and artistic project all year round, in order to develop activities of research, creation and encounter in a defined domain;
- participate to overriding Town and Country planning projects, with a high commitment at regional and local level.
