Becoming “Europe-World” Member

The first step to become member of the network is to be considered as an “Associate Member” by the Orientation Council. The Orientation Council is composed of the Chairman of the European network and personalities from the member centres, elected for a three-year period.

Each candidate must submit an application containing a five-sheet summary which describes the cultural, artistic and research project of the centre, its development at national and international level and its regional implementation, as well as the historic monument and its foreseen re-planning. This document must include as well information on public and private partnerships to be developed, budget estimations over three or five years, and finally elements on the monument property, the legal structure to be adopted, and the composition of the professional team.

To become member of the network, a centre must answer the following criteria:

- to be established in a monument or on a site of major interest, of architectural, historical, scientific or aesthetic nature, and open to the public;
- to be ruled by official statutes, which ensure the autonomy of the organisation, its not-for-profit nature and its public access;
- to implement a long-term cultural and artistic project including the development of research, creation and encounter activities, in a defined domain;
- to participate in priority projects of land-planning with a high commitment at regional and local level.
