Development of the CCR

The development of the Centres Culturels de Rencontre Network, as decided by the Minister of Culture, is based on the following organisation :

1. The “National Commission” for the Centres Culturels de Rencontre.
The “National Commission” of the Centres Culturels de Rencontre, established by order (cf. “Journal Officiel”, July 5th, 1996) is composed of 16 members :

the Delegate for Development and International Affairs (Jean-François CHAINTREAU (intérim)), the Director of Architecture and Heritage (Michel CLEMENT), the Head of the Administration General Inspection Unit of the Ministry of Culture (Patrick OLIVIER), the Delegate for Territory Planning and Territorial Action (Pierre DARTOUT), the Director of Tourism (Michel CHAMPON), the Chairman of the Centres Culturels de Rencontre Association (Yves DAUGE).

The Centres Culturels de Rencontre Association (ACCR)
The Association has officially conceded to the State the right to attribute the “CCR” certification, but participates in identifying and defining new projects, examines the applications together with the DDAI and provides the “National Commission” with technical advice on these applications.
It is also responsible for the coordination of the CCR national network, for the development of a European network, and for the contacts with other networks and international organisations.
