Towards a European Workshop n°2 : Inventing the landscape,  fractures and continuities

We will continue in 2010/2011 the working model we used in 2007/2008 (workshops and a European contest on innovati n in architecture and heritage),with a focus this time on the link between building/nature/landscape/garden in its capacity of heritage,innovati n and invention.
During the next weeks we should define in depth the framework and the plenary in Grožjnan represents a first stage of discussion.
We can already, around the central axis monuments/nature,t imagine two complementary approaches :

- a interdisciplinary research that will gather not only Architecture and Landscape Schools but also Design Schools,Art Schools,ecological experts and other specialists.

- we will focus also on the digital resources.The digital technology applied to the monuments allow us today to overcome time barriers (to reconstitute divers stages destroyed without having to materialize them,to imagine an architectural future without being forced to incarnate it).The liberty we acquired in relation with the time barriers is more interesting when approaching nature and gardens as the time cycle past/present/future is faster that in the case of monuments.The digital technologies can allow us to build the relationship building/nature in a fine-tuned articulation of the specific and so different time cycles.
